The maintenance cycle of vertical lifts is generally divided into four stages: daily inspection, monthly maintenance, quarterly maintenance and annual inspection. The specific cycle arrangement varies depending on the type of equipment, frequency of use and environmental conditions.
Daily inspection: The operator is responsible for it and it is carried out every day or every shift. The content includes whether the lift runs smoothly, whether the safety door is flexible, whether the alarm system is normal, etc.
Monthly maintenance: It is performed by professional maintenance personnel once a month, focusing on checking the lubrication, fasteners, guide rail conditions and the basic functions of the electrical system.

Generally speaking, the comprehensive maintenance cycle of vertical lifts is a major inspection once a year. Combined with regular inspections and maintenance, it can effectively ensure the safety performance and operating efficiency of the equipment.

Factors affecting the maintenance cycle of vertical lifts
The maintenance cycle of vertical lifts is not static. There are many influencing factors that need to be considered:
Frequency of use: The maintenance cycle of lifts with high frequency of use should be shortened to prevent wear and failure caused by long-term operation.
Working environment: Equipment used in high humidity, high dust or corrosive environments should have more frequent maintenance cycles to prevent environmental factors from accelerating component aging.
Equipment type: The maintenance focus of manned lifts and cargo lifts is different. Manned lifts involve personnel safety, so the maintenance cycle is more stringent and frequent.
Equipment age: New equipment generally has a longer maintenance cycle, but as the equipment ages, the maintenance frequency needs to be appropriately increased to ensure the safe operation of key components.
Technical upgrades and modifications: Elevators that have undergone technical upgrades or modifications may need to re-evaluate the maintenance cycle to adapt to the maintenance needs of the new system.
A reasonable assessment of the above factors can formulate a more scientific maintenance cycle, extend the service life of the equipment, and reduce the occurrence of failures.

Main contents of vertical lift maintenance
The reasonable arrangement of maintenance cycle must be coordinated with the maintenance contents of the system to ensure the normal operation and safety of the vertical lift. The main maintenance contents include:
Mechanical parts inspection: wear and lubrication status of guide rails, wire ropes, pulley blocks, brakes and shock absorbers, and timely replacement or repair of abnormal parts.
Electrical system maintenance: functional testing of electrical components such as control cabinets, buttons, contactors, relays, etc., check whether the line connectors are loose and aging, and prevent short circuits and open circuits.

China's "Elevator Maintenance Rules" (TSG T7007-2016) clearly stipulates that elevator maintenance should be "maintained once every three months and inspected once a year", that is, maintenance should be carried out every three months and a comprehensive inspection should be carried out once a year. This standard provides a legal basis for the maintenance cycle of vertical lifts.
